These terms cover your use of this website. The AssessMilesLog app has its own Terms and Privacy Policy, at assessmileslog.com/terms and assessmileslog.com/privacy. If you use the website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

4. The tools

The calculator, the Making Tax Digital checker and the expenses guide give estimates and general guidance only.

  • They work from the figures you enter and from the published rates for the tax year shown. They do not know about any other income, allowances or circumstances you may have.
  • They are for England, Wales and Northern Ireland. They are not available for Scottish taxpayers, whose income tax bands are different.
  • A tool shows figures side by side. It does not recommend which choice is right for you. Your accountant decides.

5. The Logbook (our articles)

The Logbook publishes short articles about tax, licensing and running costs for drivers. Each article is drafted with AI help. Every fact is checked against the official sources listed in the article, and a person at SEEKRESOLVE. LTD reads each article before it is published. The articles are general information (section 3). Each one says when it was last checked, and we may correct or remove an article at any time.

6. Downloads

The templates and other files you can download (for example, the CSV log templates) are provided as they are. You may use them for your own records. Please do not sell them or pass them on as your own. We give no promise that they suit your needs or that they are free of errors.

7. Links to other websites

The site links to other websites, such as gov.uk and Google Play. We do not control them and are not responsible for what they contain or for how they use your information. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.

8. Our content, and other people's names

  • The text, design, tools, logo and the name AssessMilesLog belong to SEEKRESOLVE. LTD or the people who license them to us. You may link to the site and quote a short extract with credit. You may not copy more of it, or use our name or logo, without our written permission. [CONFIRM: the name AssessMilesLog has not had a full trademark clearance opinion. 9. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.

The site is free and gives general information (section 3). Subject to the paragraph above, we are not responsible for loss that results from relying on it. If you use the site for your business, we are also not responsible for loss of profit, income or business, or for indirect loss.
